SONGS OF HOME is a multi-genre performance exploring the vivid sounds and complex dark stories of early colonial Australia. The forgotten sounds of folk songs, ballads, and lively dances brought by Europeans to Australia around the turn of the 19th century are intertwined with Baroque music, new Australian music, and poetry by indigenous and non-indigenous Australians. Join us as we explore the rich, quirky, and often dark musical storylines that have shaped the country and peoples of Australia.
